Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing by Brabus

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing is already one of the eye-catching supercars I have ever laid eyes on. However, if you're a tuner by the name of Brabus, than you can definitely find a way to get a little more out of the new Gullwing.

Carbon fiber, handling and ultra lightweight. That's the guiding principle of Brabus for refining the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The exclusive sport program comprises aerodynamic-enhancement components made from carbon fiber, ultra-lightweight forged wheels, an electronically adjustable smooth-ride suspension, a titanium exhaust system with bypass gate and Brabus leather.

The aero package includes a front spoiler said to further reduce lift on the front axle, new covers for both the air inlets on the front bumper and fenders, a small rear boot spoiler, and a new rear bumper element that features custom-tailored cutouts for the four exhaust tips of the sport exhaust system.

Under the hood, Brabus engineers installed a titanium sport exhaust system which weighs 12 kilograms (26 lbs) less than the standard one, that adds an extra ten horsepower to the engine's standard 563 hp. It features 84mm (3.3 inch) tips and a pneumatically controlled bypass gate that is activated from the cockpit. If you're disappointed the 6.3-liter V8 hasn't been turned into some kind of asphalt swallowing monster, Brabus promises their engine tuning program is in the final stage of development and should be released soon.

The Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG rides on a new set of wheels custom-developed for the model. They measure 20-inches at the front and 21-inches at the rear. The ultra-light Brabus Monoblock F PLATINUM EDITION cross-spoke wheels are up to 12 percent lighter than the stock wheels of the SLS AMG. Also available is a height-adjustable suspension system that can lower the ride height of the sports car by up to 40 millimeters (1.6 inches) while also allowing the driver to choose between damper settings that offer a more comfortable or sportier ride compared to the production suspension, all through the touch of a button.

No tuned vehicle would be complete without an interior to match. Standard accessories include a 250-mph speedometer that hints at what could be in store in terms of engine upgrades, a new steering wheel, stainless steel door sills with an illuminated Brabus logo, and matte-anodized aluminum sport pedals. Brabus will customize the interior completely in leather or Alcantara, with color choices limited only by taste, and customers can request specific trim (i.e. carbon fiber, mahogany, bamboo) be fitted to the dashboard, center console, and door panels.

Mercedes S600 iBusiness Sedan

Brabus, a name that is associated with modified Mercedes Benzes, has announced its latest creation – the Mercedes S600 iBusiness Sedan. The S600 iBusiness package gives the two rear seats an iPad each as well as a 64GB iPod touch. Both of the iPads can not only be used for work but can control the car's audio, navigation and phone systems.

Designed to be the ultimate executive sedan, the iBusiness boasts a revised front fascia, aluminum sport fenders, aggressive side skirts with integrated lighting, a modified rear diffuser, a sport exhaust system, and Monoblock light-alloy wheels, available in sizes from 19 to 21 inches, with Pirelli or Yokohama tires.

Under the hood, Brabus has shoehorned in a twin-turbocharged 6.3-liter V12 that produces 750 horsepower and 995 pound-feet of torque, though the torque output has been electronically limited to ONLY 811 lb-ft. Hitting 62 miles per hour takes just 4.0 seconds, and with your pedal pressed firmly to the floor, you'll hit 211 mph when all is said and done. Power is routed to the rear wheels by a five-speed automatic transmission and Brabus offers a custom limited-slip differential to maximize overall traction. It's staggeringly quick, this iBusiness.

But, the most unique thing about Brabus Mercedes S600 iBusiness Sedan, however, is its interior.

The epicenter of the system is an ultra-small Mac minicomputer placed under the rear shelf. Connected to the system are two iPads in the rear compartment to play movies, music and Connect to the Internet and control the entire functioning of the S-Class COMAND system, which includes the radio, the telephone and the navigation system.

The entertainment system also includes a 15.2-inch TFT display set inside a headliner which is covered with Alcantara and contrasted with leather. For music, there is a 64GB Apple iPod touch, with a 14, 000+ song capacity, which is synced with either the S-Class sound system or Sennheiser Noise Gard headphones. The system also provides for USB2.0 ports in the rear compartments for connecting devices. You can dock two tablet PCs and a Bluetooth keyboard in the rear adjustable tables provided for them. The car features custom-made compartments to put away all these gadgets when not in use. A BRABUS app for iPad and iPhone to be launched shortly will also come as a part of the deal.

The Brabus iBusiness is built to order and can be combined with any engine variant from the S 350 to the S 65. Alternatively any existing current S-Class model can be equipped with the innovative multimedia system and all other Brabus options.
